Mineral Point Fire Department
Mineral Point, WI
Hello and welcome to the Mineral Point Fire Department website.
The mission of the Mineral Point Fire Department is to provide top-notch fire, rescue, and all hazard mitigation to all residents and all visitors passing through our response area.
The Mineral Point Fire Department is comprised of 40 volunteer members, one fire engine, one quint 75' aerial, two tenders, one brush truck, one squad, and one command/training vehicle. We respond to approximately 90 calls a year for service ranging from vehicle accidents and fires, grass fires, structure fires, and anything that falls in between (including the occasional cat in a tree call). Our response area is approximately 155 square miles out of one station. We cover the City of Mineral Point, Town of Mineral Point, and parts of Town of Linden, Town of Mifflin, and Town of Waldwick all in Iowa County, WI. We also cover parts of Town of Kendall and Town of Willow Springs in Lafayette County, WI. Mineral Point Fire Department is also a member of MABAS Division 124 (Iowa County, WI.) along with a strong working relationship with our neighboring departments.
We also have a very active fire prevention team that does school presentations, station tours, and an annual open house for fire prevention week.
The members of the Mineral Point Fire Department know the value of strong work ethics along with making the best use of our resources and money.
Thank you for visiting our website. Please feel free to drop us an email, call, or stop by the station with any questions you may have.
